Handcrafted, authentic Goan art and heritage collectibles

The products at Goa Decor store are carefully conceptualised and designed at the studio preserving the beauty and essence of Goan heritage and tradition. Most of our products do involve substantial amount of handcrafting by our skilled and experienced local artisans and craftsmen.

Sustainable materials

The products are earth conscious, most of the products are made from sustainable natural materials like wood, metal, plant fiber, and so on, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility..

Blending of past and present

Each collectible, whether it is the traditional Goan windows, the Aadoli (coconut scraper with vegetable or fish cutter), or the Rotesao weaved stools, is a fusion of the old and the new, preserving the beauty of the past while incorporating contemporary elements, making the products suitable for modern-day utility. Selected of these are created at the in-house workshop, employing young women who are skilled in art & crafts.

Our Motivation

Roopa Kunkolienkar, a passionate architect and interior designer, aims to revive the lost traditions of native Goans through her Store "Goa Decor". The store is the outcome of her childhood nostalgia about the rich history of Goa and her passion for art, tradition, and culture. She promotes local artisans, craftsmen, woodworkers, et cetera to handcraft products that reflect the charm of lost Goan heritage of the bygone era. The products range from wall mounts, artefacts, tableware, paintings, furniture, and many more. The products are a convergence of the past and present preserving the beauty of the old while in-corporating contemporary designs. Her initiative is making a positive impact on the lives of the highly skilled locals by providing them opportunities to create these beautiful pieces.
